The second half of March I spent in USA.
The first four days I was attending one of my favorite business mentors Brendon Burchard´s event High Performance Academy, held in Santa Clara CA. This teaching is about personal development and in very many senses this is part of what I teach too. It is about how to find the best you, a less stressed out version of yourself. I got some good ideas for the future – watch out for it ahead …….
After the course, I headed towards Denver for my book tour. The tour got short, just one stop because we were late in the marketing.
Anyway I was to speak at the monthly meeting of the US-European network in Denver where SACCcolorado had the turn to arrange the program for March. That fitted well with my time in town. I came two days early and had a chance to walk a lot downtown Denver. It was such a nice place – I love the modern architecture with lots of glass side by side to old small houses.
I also had the chance to visit two Rotary meetings – since I am a Rotarian. One was a breakfast meeting where I got to hear about a social project helping cultural work organizations. The other one was a lunch meeting where we were educated about the changes in the arctic ice and the impact that has on the sea levels. Very interesting and just as up to date for Sweden as for any other place on our globe.
On the evening for my speech I was picked up at my hotel. The meeting was at a nice small meeting hall where it was nicely offered well tasting snacks and tidbits.
There were 20 guests listening to my speech. First though they had a chance to network with each other because that is why they have monthly meetings. And getting to meet people in real life is one of the most important issues when doing business – you get a feel of the other person. People don’t buy from Companies; they buy from the People in the Companies!
I held a 45 minute speech about Why, What, When and How to deal with Stress in general and in business. There were lots of questions and I hope they learned a lot. Afterwards I did book signing for those who wanted to learn more by buying one or two of my books.
I had a great time and I hope the guests had too. Thanks a lot for having me to Ann and her colleagues at the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in Denver.
To your success – and keep smiling!
