Do you know what part of life is most common to generate stress? In the online survey I recently had going I found the answer. What would you have guessed? Work? Family? Money?
I had 6 alternatives to choose from, Work Related, Health Issues, Financial, Family Related, Other Relationships and Other. I asked the participants to rank them.
The answer is that all 21 persons who answered this question had different ranks BUT when you add them all up they were all even. None of the reasons for stress is sticking its head out. I tried to figure out what this tells us.
Well, I can tell that all parts of life can cause stress and I can also tell that in stress management it is not one-size-fits-all because the causes are so different.

I recently had a survey out about stress. One of the question was about how often people were stressed out. This was not a scientific study but questions to people in my network. One interesting thing I found out is that most people didn’t say they are stressed every day but every week. 50% said every week, 25 said every day and the rest said every month or more seldom.
I would have thought that more people would say every day since that is what I hear in conversations in general, they are ALWAYS stressed out. That makes me wonder why there is a difference.

Daily I get questions about stress. Why am I feeling like this? What can I do about that? I feel my heart beat – is that dangerous? How can I get out of this stressful situation? What would you do, Dr Annika? What is stress – really? And it goes on like this………
Of course I don’t have the answers to ALL these questions. But some I can answer or reflect around and help the person feel a bit relieved. Some of the questions only the person who asks has the answer to. What I can do is to guide them towards their own answer, which is what coaching is all about.

We are well into the summer even though we don’t really feel that in Sweden. The weather has been anything but summerlike. Hopefully we will get some sun and warmth in August to give us energy, and also a dose of vitamin D, to use during the dark winter months.
Anyway – I have gathered another bunch of previous blogposts that are suitable for this time of the year – to help you get a good start of the fall when everything get going again after some summer rest.

Summer is here and it is time to take a break from the blog for a week or two. Some may call it laziness but I think it’s good to take time away to reflect on your life, your work and find your path into the future. So, why not use the summer to ponder about where you are heading? This is hard to do during the never ending rat-race that are ordinary work-weeks.
These are big life questions and, for most people, they typically need some time and fuel to think about. But, I’ve made it easy for you to get started. Here are 5 of my previous blog posts that cover a wide array of stress-related topics and they’re perfect for pondering while sitting on a dock with your feet in the water.

How many times in a day do you use an internet connected device? That is a very hard question to answer – since most of us use them all the time. They are at our side around the clock, whether we work or not. We don’t use them X amount of time, they have become part of us.
So what? Is that a problem? Yes and no!
