Did you take the chance to reflect during Easter holiday?
Health is the basis of everything. I guess you recognize my mantra by now. So far everyone has agreed with me and assure me that it is so true. But also so hard to remember in the everyday clutter of things needed to be done. The everyday hamster wheel does not exactly promote good health.
So the hamster wheel is one of the things we need to control. I can just give this advice – take all chances you can get to reflect. Holidays are one of the times when the chances are enhanced. Like Easter with “painting the eggs”.
Hamster wheel, overload, clutter, disorder, chaos; some words representing something you don’t want to have. Why? Everything they represent takes your energy. And when you lose energy you don’t do a good enough job to grow your business and increase your profitability.
How to get rid of these words? This is where reflection comes into the picture. To reflect around your situation is the best way to see what you have and to see what you need and want.
Here are a few tips around reflection:
- Use the holidays when you “get some time off” because the society around celebrate.
- Walk and talk – talk to yourself or someone you trust. Good for your thinking.
- Write it down – all good thoughts you get when doing the walk and talk.
- Ask for help – you don’t have to do everything yourself – might free some time
- Buy time – pay someone to do the trivial things and you get more time to reflect
As you can see reflection is all about getting some time for yourself to think those big and good thoughts that you need for taking your business to success and more profitability. To see what you have and to see what you need and want.
When you have had time to reflect is the time to focus on the new things you came up with. This is the hardest part. Not to fall down in the same pattern as before but to make a new, more efficient or different pattern that will take you to where you want to be.
Reflection is one of the things that are really good for your health. You feel less stress if you get more control of your situation.
Other things that are good for your health are self-awareness, walking, work-outs, friends, family, smiles and a lot of other things. You have to look at the whole picture to get the best health. You may add the things you find is good for your health!
