GET TO KNOW DR. ANNIKA
MD | EXECUTIVE STRESS & LEADERSHIP ADVISOR | SPEAKER | AUTHOR
Hi, I’m Dr Annika, it’s great to see you here!
MY STORY
My interest in stress and human resilience is not only professional — it is deeply personal.
In my early thirties, I experienced the loss of both my brother and my firstborn daughter within a single week, which forced me to confront the limits of human capacity under extreme emotional stress.
With support, reflection, and time, I began to understand something fundamental:
The human system is incredibly resilient — but only when we learn how to work with it, not against it.
That realization shaped the direction of my work.
It led me to study stress, mindset, mental health, and workplace health. Not just academically, but in a way that could help others navigate pressure without breaking.
WHO I WORK WITH
I work with high-responsibility executives and business leaders who operate under sustained pressure and want to perform at a high level without burning out.
Most of the leaders I support are not struggling with motivation or ambition.
They are navigating:
– Constant decision-making demands
– High-stakes responsibility
– Limited recovery time
– Increasing cognitive and emotional load
My role is to help them sustain clarity, energy, and leadership capacity over time.
My Values & Beliefs
Health and Family First
Sustainable performance is not meaningful if it comes at the cost of long-term well-being.
Transparency and Honesty
Clear, direct communication builds trust and leads to better decisions.
Kindness and Compassion
No two leaders operate under identical conditions. My work is always tailored.
Personalized Approach
Leadership is demanding — but ignoring biological limits is not a strategy.
WHY DR. ANNIKA
With over 37 years in healthcare and more than a decade specializing in stress physiology, I bring a medical perspective into leadership. I am a licensed doctor, certified stress and wellness therapist, and NLP practitioner.
Performance under pressure is not just psychological. It is biological.
I help leaders understand how their stress system actually functions, so they can:
• Think clearly in demanding situations
• Maintain energy across long work cycles
• Avoid the “stress wall” many executives eventually encounter
• Lead with calm, stable authority
My work is not about removing stress. It is about building the capacity to operate effectively within it through combining my clinical experience, scientific research, and practical application to translate complex biology into strategies leaders can use in real life.
WHY THIS WORK MATTERS
In today’s environment, many leaders are expected to deliver consistently at a high level — without fully understanding the cost that sustained pressure places on the body and mind.
Over time, this can lead to: • Chronic fatigue • Loss of clarity • Long-term health impact • Reduced decision quality
This is not a failure of discipline.
It is a mismatch between human biology and modern leadership demands.
UNDERSTANDING THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING.
Dr. Annika Outside Of Work
Outside of my professional work, I value time with family and the space to slow down.
I’ve always been drawn to creative work, particularly textiles and working with natural materials. Sewing, stitching, and crocheting have been a lifelong way for me to reset and stay present.
That balance — between high responsibility and intentional recovery — is something I encourage in the leaders I work with as well.
Leadership today requires more than strategy.
It requires the capacity to sustain performance over time.
If you’re navigating high responsibility and want to explore how to lead effectively without burning out, you’re welcome to take the next step.
