Why Supplements Suck & What You Should Do Instead

Today I’m going to talk about supplements and, yeah it’s not really my subject in itself but today I had this really interesting conversation with one of my clients and it made me wonder how many of you are faced with the same situation

 

My client told me that she had met this guy who wanted to sell her a bundle of three supplements that would make her happier, healthier, less stressed and be a better leader.

You are looking forward to the upcoming summer for going to the beach going swimming and putting that nice summer dress on, and then you take a look in the mirror. You see a gloomy, and what you think is fat and floppy body. You feel desperate! “How will I get in shape before the summer? That’s just impossible.”

You think to yourself; “Should I find the diet drinks. Is there some powder meal replacement I should have, should I just stop eating or maybe there is a pill I can take.”

Do you sometimes have an odd feeling about a person in your social circle and you can’t really put your finger on what it is? They are not a line with you, and in a way you sense them as toxic. They are somehow stealing your energy and they don’t give you anything back they just steal from you.

You know what, you are probably right. Because this can be very stressful and it’s very common, and most people have these kind of people somewhere in their relationships.

They are toxic and you know what, maybe someone will think the same about you and you don’t know it. But the point I’m trying to make is that we are all different personalities you know, and that’s just the way it is.

Today I want to talk about sleep.

You know life on earth is adapted to the rotation of our planet, and we have known for many years that we, as humans, have clocks that work with this regular cycle of the the planet turning around itself. So we have these body clocks but how does it work? That’s not something that we’ve really known. I’m from Sweden and in Sweden we have the Nobel Prize, I’m not sure you know about it but here it’s a big thing and I usually hear about it every year and there are all these prizes for scientists who’ve done things that most of us don’t understand.

Some of my clients are not sure they have the right job,  they don’t feel the right connection to it and that can be very stressful. Have you ever felt like that? A disconnect?

Or maybe you are like the ones that tell me that they are perfect for the job and they really don’t know why that is either, they haven’t got the key of “What is it that makes me perfect?” or “What is it making me not like my job?”

The other day I was reminded of a guy whose name is Antonovski. He is a professor in medical sociology and he has created a term called Salutogenesis; it’s a hard word which means to look at what keeps us healthy instead of looking the other way around, the way that health care usually does where they usually are looking at what makes us ill.

Three Tips to Get Enough Quality Sleep

Being a business leader means needing to be productive and being productive means that you need to make sure you’re getting enough sleep. I’m sure you’ve struggled in the past with getting a full night’s sleep. And even if you think you’re getting a full night’s sleep, your brain might still be switched on.

That leaves you in a bit of a predicament…because you aren’t really getting the ‘quality’ sleep you need as a business leader.
